Plan Availability
To help maintain meaningful visibility for participating businesses, availability with the Professional, Advanced and Standard Plans is limited.
For each city's provincial trade area, a maximum of ten (10) businesses are permitted within each primary business category for each of the premium plans:
The premium plans are the Professional, Advanced, and Standard Plans. The Plus Plan is not subject to availability limits and remains available to all eligible businesses.
Plan availability applies only to a business's primary business category and home city provincial trade area. Secondary categories do not affect availability limits.
Businesses that list in additional trade areas, where permitted in their plan, continue to count toward the availability limit within their home trade area. Only the professional plan has additional trade area capability.
For example, Alberta has two trade areas: Calgary and Edmonton. A contractor in Calgary lists their primary business category on Google as a Roofer, but they do Eavestrough, Soffit and Fascia. A lawyer in Edmonton lists their primary business as a lawyer handling criminal cases
The contractor from Calgary with the Professional Plan would be able to place their business in Edmonton as a roofer because they would be a roofer with a home trade area of Calgary. If the Eavestrough Category in Calgary already had 10 positions filled, they could still be listed under Eavestrough because this is their secondary category.
The Edmonton Lawyer could list itself in Edmonton as a criminal lawyer if there were fewer than 10 positions in any premium plan. The Plus Plan is always available. A Calgary lawyer could still list in Edmonton with the Professional Plan.
All our plans are first-in, first-visible. So potentially, a Calgary lawyer with a professional plan may be the first criminal lawyer seen in Edmonton.
